Reporting to: Development Director, Regional Managing Director

FITCH Singapore has a new vacancy for an experienced Strategy Director.  The successful candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience and knowledge of Singapore’s retail design industry to the team.

 

Job Purpose

  • Spearheading strategic planning offer as it relates to our global vision of brand and design experience, internally and externally
  • Leading the strategy element on key client relationships/projects and business development initiatives
  • Ensuring strategy is represented in the creative and client relationship model
  • Acting as a strategic partner to client services, creative, and business development teams
  • Managing the financial performance of planning, specifically utilisation and profitability

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration – creation and direction, alongside the Global Strategy Director, of FITCH’s Planning and Insights total offer
  • Client – acting as the senior consultative member of the Singapore Strategy Team, responsible for managing internal delivery against project deadlines and revenue
  • Business Development – playing an active role in business development for new business and farming initiatives
  • Networking – creating links and profiles with counterparts – across FITCH, WPP, and the industry
  • Management – participation in operational and general management activities of the BDI and local leadership team. Developing and evolving individual career planning within the strategic planning and insights team
  • Best practice – establishing processes, methodology, and stimulation of strategic thinking within the studio
  • Cutting edge – developing/collaborating and evangelising the latest in-house thinking and tools on brand and experience, as it pertains to the FITCH offer
  • Thought leadership – developing and championing a Thought Leadership programme and profile of the business in conjunction with the Global Strategy Director. Facilitating and evangelising insights, knowledge, and inter-studio collaboration

 

Position Requirements

  • MBA/Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, or Social Sciences preferred
  • Minimum 10 years multi-disciplinary strategy and planning experience with some Asia market experience required
  • Strong knowledge of all aspects of retail design strategy, insight methods, brand strategy, and positioning in consumer market
  • Proven ability in leading and solving insight, strategy proposal writing, brand naming, and engagement
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (presentation – both spoken and written) skills, honed within the design industry
  • Fluency in English essential, Mandarin preferred
