FITCH Names Christian Davies Executive Creative Director, Americas

Columbus, Ohio (May 18, 2010) – Effective today, FITCH has strengthened its creative team with the appointment of British-born designer and brand strategist, Christian Davies.

He re-joins the agency as Executive Creative Director from his role as VP and Managing Creative Director at Cincinnati-based, FRCH Design Worldwide.

Trained as an interior designer, Davies began his career at FITCH, based out of London, working with a variety of clients across the US and Europe for more than decade. He is now returning to FITCH to head up creative across the FITCH US network.

Christian’s work has been recognized extensively in the industry, including multiple first place category honors from every major retail design award in the US. His recent experience has covered a wide variety of assignments including Luxottica, McDonalds, Harley Davidson and Tiffany & Co. – with projects in the US, Europe, China, India and Brazil.

Christian is a regular industry commentator and speaker with his work and editorials appearing in publications as diverse as USA today, the London Sunday Times and Women’s Wear Daily.

A recipient of a Chain Store Age 40 Under 40 award and a past Business Week Designs of the Decade winner, Christian was recently nominated by peers from the US retail industry for his second consecutive DDI Magazine Influencer Award.

Commenting on his appointment, Christian said: “For me, FITCH has always represented one of the great names in the design business, but what struck me the most was the sense of energy and vision that they have in-house today. The firm feels nimble, responsive and most of all progressive – which is very in keeping with today’s landscape where, by necessity, the client’s needs are more demanding than ever. I’m excited to be returning to the place where this all started for me nearly 20 years ago and to join this latest evolution of FITCH in the US market and across the globe.”

“We are thrilled to be welcoming Christian back to FITCH and know he can bring great skills and perspective to all of our clients,” added Victoria Leavitt, Managing Director for FITCH in Columbus.
