Carly Tysh one of the next generation of creative leaders

Each year Visual Merchandising and Store Design (VMSD) magazine highlights a talented selection of up-and-coming creatives through the VMSD Designer Dozen Awards. These winners represent the next generation of creative leaders who have the talent, desire, and innovative thinking that will drive retail design industry forward.

Carly’s infectious spirit and passion for design is apparent to her colleagues and clients.  A pragmatic thinker, design excellence is Carly’s trademark and she is driven to create incredible environments that change people’s lives and way of thinking.

“Understanding the “why” intrigues Carly, and so her ideas just shine,” says Joanne Putka-White, who has mentored Carly over the last few years, as well as directed her design on the award-winning PIRCH stores. “She has a much appreciated, refreshingly candid approach to design that her clients really value.”

Carly graduated at the top of her class from the University of Cincinnati’s highly ranked DAAP program with a degree in Interior Design. She joined FITCH with significant experience in hospitality and event design, having interned at VOA Associates, Rockwell Group, and MKG Experiential Marketing.

“I’m humbled by this most recent recognition of FITCH’s design talent and thrilled that Carly has been honored as one of our industry’s leading designers under 35,” says Christian Davies, Executive Creative Director, Americas.

Carly and her fellow Designer Dozen winners will be featured in VMSD’s April issue, and honored during a VMSD Designer Dozen Awards ceremony held during GloblalShop in Las Vegas.
